I'm in my mid-30s. I went through all the courses when I was younger, back in Canada, but I always lived in big cities so I was never a regular driver. Now that I live in Silicon Valley I *have* to drive everywhere. So, I'm looking for a solid instruction + practical course before I get the California license. I don't have nearby relatives to coach me.

Sears has a good driving school. But you can also check yellow pages and see if there is some other schools you might prefer.
