I think that San Jose State will be fine for your needs. Other places to consider are Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Hayward State (CSU East Bay).

Most of my experience is in mechanical, chemical, civil, environmental, but I suspect electrical is the same. here's the honest truth: CSUSJ is an accredited school. It is better than many, whatever that means. Employers don't really care which school you graduated from as long as it is accredited. San Jose is a major city in a major population center, so plenty of recruiters will go there looking for graduating seniors (the only potential benefit of one school over another). As long as you are planning to be a "working engineer" and not a future professor, CSUSJ will be as good as any. If you want to get a PhD or teach, then there is potential value in going to more selective/higher cost schools that focus on creating grad students (schools like Cal Tech, Stanford, MIT, etc.)
