Red light camera traps and tickets in San Jose , California?

Red light camera traps and tickets in San Jose , California?
This weekend accidently ran red light in san jose. I saw a sign for $351 minimum fine. Did not get pulled over, but wanted to ask. As of november 2009 does san jose have camera traps at red lights that will send u a ticket in the mail? Also if so does anyone know the current fee? and Can you get it off your record? If u have just done traffic school can u get this off or no? Would it be a point on my record? Thank you for your time I appreciate it I found only about rat traps on the sjpd site but found a couple traps on phantomalert.com also with a redlight ticket in the mail do they need a face picture of the driver to fine u? thank u again

They actually take quick pic of your car once it trigger the camera. The camera will take in front of your car as will as the rear of your car showing the license plate number. Usually they send the ticket to the owner of the plate number. I got caught once back in 2002 and the detail on the picture is quite clear. It show the picture of the driver and the plate. Thats was almost ten years ago. Today might have a higher diffinition camera. If you see a sign state $351 minimum fine. That will usually be the amount of your fine.
