What are good school's for majoring in Computer Science in California?

What are good school's for majoring in Computer Science in California?
I'm a Junior in High School and I'm trying to decide on what would be choice schools for majoring in Computer Science. Besides Cal tech, Berkeley, and Stanford, what would be the next best? I was thinking of UCI, University of the Pacific, San Jose State, and a couple of others but I'm still a little unsure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

All of the schools that you've named seem to have such great reputations :) There is a website where students may post about the schools that they have or had attended: http://www.studentsreview.com and can type into search and then click 'comments' or such. For general career information: http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search 'computer scientists and database administrators', 'software engineers', 'computer programmers', 'computer systems analysts' or such.

Most of the UC's are excellent. UC Berkeley, as you mentioned, is good and so are UCSD and UCLA. UC Davis, UC Irvine and UC Santa Barbara are good too. UC Santa Cruz is a fine choice. UC Riverside is fine and UC Merced is probably ok, but it's also a new school so you probably don't want to go there yet. Harvey Mudd is a great school as well if you have the stats for it. I'd skip San Jose State and any of the CSU's. Not sure about the University of the Pacific. I'd say stick with the UC system unless you're fortunate enough to get into Caltech, Stanford or Harvey Mudd.

Actually, San Jose has a very good, highly-respected "working class" degree in Computer Science. CalPoly-SLO and Santa Clara University should also be on your list.
